Volunteer Opportunities
Engage in community outreach via tabling events, presentations, and the distribution of materials at schools, colleges, and universities, legal and social service organizations, and community stakeholders, increasing a network of partnerships supporting the mission of Men Stopping Violence.

Knowledgeable on issues of gender-based violence, especially IPV.
* This position requires travel to in-person events around metro Atlanta and the ability to transport and lift boxes up to 25lbs.
Under the direction of the CEO, assist with donor relations and coordinating fundraising events. Provide support in planning for fundraising campaigns and events, obtaining sponsorships and auction items, managing attendee lists, and setting up event spaces and post-event activities. Assist with maintaining the donor database of current and new supporters.
Qualifications
Experience planning and managing special events.
Ability to track a variety of tasks to meet event deadlines.
Ability to work in a team setting with groups of staff and volunteers.
Under the direction of MSV’s Director of Communications, assist with marketing messages in alignment with Men Stopping Violence’s programs and events. Design emails, social media posts, flyers, webinar invitations, and other marketing materials and graphics. Monitor performance metrics and trends and implement adjustments accordingly.
Qualifications
Experience developing campaigns on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc. Knowledge of current social media trends.
Assist with data entry and database cleanup, program attendance entry in Excel, send mass emails, field and return phone calls. Use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and Neon CRM database with a high degree of accuracy.
Qualifications
Ability to answer phone calls and place outgoing calls with professionalism.
Knowledge of modern computer systems and Microsoft Office.
Ability accurately enter data into spreadsheets or database systems.
Familiarity with Neon and Canva is a plus.
Under the direction of the Program Director, Assist with group facilitation of the Tactics and Choices (TNC) educational group. Assist in planning, monitoring, and documenting all activities and services. Assist with coordinating and planning program schedule/calendar of events and keeping track of group attendance. Groups may be conducted virtually or in person.
Qualifications
One year of experience with group facilitation is preferred.

Creative and engaging on video platforms.
Knowledgeable on issues of gender-based violence, especially dynamics of IPV.
Under the direction of the Program Director, assist with group facilitation of the Young Men Stopping Violence (YMSV) Programs. Assist in planning, monitoring, and documenting all activities and services. Assist with coordinating and planning program schedule/calendar of events, preparing program evaluations, and collecting information for reporting and evaluation purposes.
Qualifications
One year of experience with group facilitation is preferred.
Experience working with boys and adult men.
Creative and engaging on video platforms.
Knowledgeable on issues of gender-based violence, especially dynamics of IPV.
Planning and implementing program activities that are culturally relevant and support or promote social and emotional development. Participates in educational opportunities related to causes and interventions of intimate partner violence Under the direction of the Advocacy Director, assist with the development of quality curriculum design and learning resources for a men’s group. Create gender-specific lesson plans and resources for post and current group members.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, gender studies, public health, or related field.
Curriculum development experience.
One year of experience with group facilitation.
Excellent communication, writing, and research skills.
Comfortable working remotely but collaboratively.
Experience and empathy working with men who may have been, or are currently, involved with the criminal justice system.
